What is compost?

Composting is to degrade the remaining organic matter in the food waste. The microorganisms break down organic matter and produce heat, carbon dioxide and water during the composting process. When the organic matter is completely decomposed, it will be converted into nutrients beneficial to plants, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium etc. Compost is rich in microorganisms and organic matter, and contains more balanced nutrients than chemical fertilizers, which can also improve the health and fertility of the soil.
